One Happy Momma! posted 10/31/2014 (updated 10/31/2014) I can not say enough good about our experience with Gabrielle Cheikh Photography. From the first appointment my daughter made with her, she has been a delight to work with! She listens well and offers suggestions, but without being over-bearing. She is very professional, yet super sweet and fun! Her communication with my daughter was always timely. We wanted a second photographer, and her associate was equally good to work with. Before the ceremony, he took the guys and she the gals. Together, during the ceremony, they captured some incredible moments and memories that we will cherish forever. So many great pictures that it has been a hugh challenge to chose which ones to print!She did an especially good job during the reception of capturing the celebration of life, love, family and friendship. She just blended in and did her thing, and the result was a multitude of fantastic photos highlighting a beautiful wedding day and night!! It is very evident how much she cares about her clients and how much she loves what she does. I would highly recommend Gabrielle Cheikh Photography.
So talented and sweet! posted 1/13/2014 (updated 1/14/2014) Gaby was one of the first vendors that we hired because she had shot a friend’s wedding, and I knew her work to be spectacular. She immediately made my husband and I feel at ease as we discussed our vision with her. She met with us a couple of times to outline our wedding plans, must have photos etc. On the actual day, Gaby and her second shooter were professional and on it all day long. They captured every moment but were never intrusive. Gaby also organized a photo booth for our guests at the reception and it was a huge hit! We had a few edited photos within two days of our wedding and the rest within a month. They are incredible. I have received so many compliments from everyone who has seen them. She captured my husband and I so well. I plan to use Gaby for future family photos because she’s such a talented, sweet and wonderful person. I highly recommend her!!

She is on top of current trends in her field, always in communication, flexible, and very easy to work with. Only the Best posted 10/31/2014 Gaby is beyond amazing. She is personable, talented, creative, and has such an eye for the right shot. It was raining the day of our photo shoot, scheduled for outside at the IMA. She improvised in a way that I never would have thought about, creating the most beautiful, unique photos of me and my now husband. We love her!
best of the best posted 10/31/2014 When it comes down to it most wedding photos are the same. The only differences are the ideas that the couple use to decorate. But there are many things that set Gaby apart from the rest of the photographers. One major thing being that she is a girl. She sees the events in a completely different way. Some of that can be attributed to her personality. There’s always that fine line to tread between being professional but letting enough of your personality come through. Gaby has found a way to do that and that’s a lot of what sets her apart too. Most people in the world don’t like to get super dressed up and/or don’t want their pictures taken. Gaby has found a way to be able to make people feel comfortable and have a good time. She’s also great about who she picks to have her help with the weddings. The second shooter was a great representation of Gaby also. She let Gaby’s ideas flow and wasn’t trying to make this her shoot. I’ve been friends with Gaby for a few years and when my best friend told me he was engaged, I immediately told him to talk to her for the pictures. I knew how insanely cute his wedding would be and I knew that Gaby would be able to make the ideas they had come to life. As the shoot went on I realized how much Gaby does at weddings. There are many behind the scene things that most people don’t even notice or think about. Somehow Gaby catches everything. As great as she is with people and taking the photos, she might be better at anticipating challenges that might arise. She came prepared with a huuuuuge tackle box full of items that people could have forgotten. When she got to the venue she immediately started talking to owners of the venue and the bride and groom to set up back up plans just incase the weather didn’t hold out(she had the forecast and time remembered). My friends ended up having the most beautiful wedding which can be seen in the photographs. But the memories and fun that were made by Gaby making this a stress free and fun event were just as great.
Very professional and amazing photographs!!! posted 10/30/2014 These are some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen! Gaby photographed the wedding of a very special friend of our family. The bride choose Gabrielle Cheikh Photography because Lindsay is familiar with the work Gaby has done taking our family photos, new born pictures, annual birthday pictures, etc. Gaby never fails to please!!! She works extra hard to get to perfect shots and…she is reasonably priced!!! With her quality, it is a bargain at twice the price!
Fantastic photography! posted 10/29/2014 Gabrielle Cheikh was the photographer at a wedding I attended back in June. From the moment I and my guest arrived, we were greeted not only by the wedding party but by Gaby herself! She was so personable and friendly and introduced herself to everyone. When the pictures were posted I could see why she was so social. She has an uncanny ability to bring out the absolute BEST in every single person she photographs. Her personal approach only makes it easier to have your photo taken (especially if you hate that!). Highly recommended!!!
Bridesmaid posted 10/28/2014 As a photographer myself I am incredibly critical of wedding photographers whenever I am apart of someone’s big day. Gaby was a delight to be around all day and I could tell she was prepped with all the gear she needed to make the magic happen. She has an incredible demeanor which put everyone at ease and put a smile on our faces. She was full of creative ideas, awesome props, and found a variety of beautiful locations for the Bride and Groom and the wedding party. Gaby knows how to get the moment without being intrusive and/or bossy. She is efficient with her work so you can get the posed images you want and get back to celebrating. Her final images were stunning. She’s fantastic with capturing intimate moments as well as fun filled candids of the guests. I would highly recommend her for how easy going she makes the day and the fantastic range of pictures you get to remember it.
Couldn’t be happier!!! posted 10/28/2014 (updated 10/29/2014) We first hired Gaby to do our engagement photos. Holy cow did she blow us away with her amazing photos!! She not only came up with the perfect spot but came with adorable props and was so great with her direction!! She is the SWEETEST person and made us so comfortable!! Needless to say she photographed our wedding, maternity, newborn and now family photos! She has lifelong clients!!!

In all respects, she is fun, engaging, and easy to work with. Not only does she make you feel at ease, but she also gets all those shots that you want, and even some you didn’t know you wanted. She is creative, but not over the top. Gabrielle has placed herself of the map of Indianapolis, wedding, portrait and commercial photography…don’t miss out!
Great Photos and Fun Shoot posted 10/24/2014 (updated 10/24/2014) Gaby is super sweet and great to work with. Being people who do not overly enjoy being in front of the camera, she did a great job making us comfortable during our engagement shoot. Gaby also had great ideas to make our photos more unique to us, and does a great job finding ways to capture real moments instead of the traditional posed pictures. We have received many compliments from friends and family about our photos and would recommend her to anyone in need of a great photographer.

She was flexible with our needs and adapted well with our large family, which required many posed photos. In addition to being great prior to the wedding day and the day of, her photos were amazing. I cherish each and every one of them and am thankful we chose such a talented photographer to capture our special day. “As soon as you get engaged there are a trillion thoughts that go through a new bride-to-be’s head: Where will I get my dress? What venue will be open to us? What month should we get married? What about the cake? The flowers? How about a photographer? And most importantly, Who is going to pay for this!? After the initial excitement and shock has sunken skin-deep and the dizziness of all these questions has subsided, planning can begin. During my planning, I knew one of the most important things to me would be documenting my event. After, sorting through multiple references from my mother-in-law and searching throughout the many ‘professionals’ on the internet, I was overwhelmed! The prices where high and I was on a budget. Gabrielle Cheikh’s ad was one of the first that I explored further. After emailing her, I was greeted with a quick reply and a link to her website and portfolio. I WAS IMPRESSED! I was also upset: how was I going to afford this women’s beautiful work and amazing services?! I emailed her back and let her know I was interested. She sent me a sample contract and a quote for her services. Upon getting the quote, my jaw dropped! I could most definitely afford her services. I let her know immediately that we wanted to book her! Throughout the entire email process, up until the wedding, I was greeted with professionalism, eagerness and kindness. When you interact with someone on the internet, you only see one dimension of their personality. I was not expecting what I was going to encounter the day of the wedding. Gabrielle arrived promptly at the time we had agreed upon, she found a place for her equipment and got to work, chit-chatting all the while with an endearing smile on her face. She truly made myself and the rest of my wedding party feel at ease. While getting ready to walk down the aisle, one of my bridesmaids was having trouble with her hair. We tried everything! Finally, Gabrielle stepped in and actually did her hair for her. I was very impressed. We were married in a Catholic church, because of this their are rules as to where the photographer can and cannot be as well as if they can use their flash. Gabrielle was discrete throughout the ceremony and captured many wonderful photographs despite the absence of a flash. At the end of the ceremony Gabrielle followed us down aisle to get the first shots of us as a married couple. Unfortunately, due to a misplaced bench she fell, however, she didn’t stop smiling or clicking away; talk about commitment to the client! After the ceremony we met Gabrielle at the reception site to take posed shots. She had some truly wonderful ideas and we had a blast being photographed. Again, her smile and sense of humor matched ours completely and made my husband and me, as well as our wedding party feel completely comfortable. Throughout the reception, Gabrielle would “check in” to see what event was happening in what order and if there were any shots we wanted to ensure she captured. She was not obtrusive, nor pushy about getting photos. She was patient with the guests that wanted to make sure she got their better side. Her discreteness also allowed her to get candid photographs that will be cherished for a lifetime. Near the end of the evening, Gabrielle let me know she had about 10 pictures worth of space left. I was astonished! She was really snapping them off but, somehow, had managed to time things just right, the reception was nearly over! About 3 weeks after our wedding, I received a sneak peek of our edited wedding photos. Beautiful! The images were clean, clear and crisp. They were truly amazing and quite a tease! I couldn’t wait to see the rest. About a month after that, we received the rest of our photos. 3000 of them. Looking through them was a wonderful reminder of our special day. It seems as though she was able to capture each person in attendance and show what a wonderful time everyone had. My husband and I were truly impressed and felt very lucky to have such a wonderful, kind person to document such a special day. We were so satisfied that we are also having Gabrielle photograph our new addition in March. Both my husband and I look forward to working with her again. I would recommend any bride-to-be to look into her services for their wedding and I hope I can send as much business as possible her way whenever anyone I know is in need of photographing services. The service you provided was far beyond the title of “photographer.”
