Last week, at the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home, I got to photograph the most beautiful outdoor wedding! The bride and the groom, Heather and John, wanted a casual garden party atmosphere and boy, did they hit the nail on the head! It was not only one of the prettiest weddings that I have been to, but the atmosphere was filled with excitement and love the entire night. It felt incredibly warm and inviting like a “good ole” family cookout (with beautiful decorations, catering, and an incredible live band-Christabel and the Jons). While shooting, all I could think about was how this wedding really felt like a celebration of two people’s love-two families coming together- which I find to be so rare anymore. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of their beautiful night!
Congratulations John and Heather!
Love all he pictures, but especially enjoyed the one of Heather kissing the Riley bust with him wearing the sunglasses! Great job all around! ~ Jim Obergfell
